Spring has finally sprung and we couldn’t be more excited! Between the cold, dry air and indoor heaters, winter does our hair no favours. Now that the sun is finally starting to shine and the temperatures are creeping up, what better time than to try out a new hairstyle. Spring is a great time to experiment with a completely new look or to try a new way of styling your hair. No longer do we have to hide our hair under a knitted beanie in an effort to keep warm! We’ve got five easy and cute hairstyles that we recommend giving a try this spring.
Time to accessorise
If you’re not ready to commit to a whole new cut or colour, hair accessories will be your best friend. We saw scrunchies and hair scarves explode onto the scene last year, which don’t look like they are going anywhere. In addition to that, hair clips, pearl headbands and jewel pieces are definitely having a moment right now. These accessories are the perfect way to take a look from 0-100 without making any drastic changes!
The ultra-high pony
We love a cute beanie in winter as much as the next person, but if there’s one thing you can’t rock with a beanie, it’s a high ponytail. A slick, high pony is one of the easiest hairstyles to achieve – yet so effective! We recommend using a hair straightener through your locks first and using a little hair gel to achieve that ultra slicked-back look. A high pony can be rocked day or night! Feeling like your pony needs a little something extra? Add a scrunchie for that ultimate on-trend look.
A blunt cut
If spring has got you ready for a real change, a shorter haircut with blunt ends could be exactly what you’re looking for. It’s a great way to get rid of any dry or damaged ends from the harsh winter, as well as creating a fresh and modern look for spring. A blunt cut can be worn super sleek and straight or try adding in some sea salt spray for a touch of texture and that ultra ‘messy’ look.
The lob
A trending hairstyle for the last few years, the long bob is the perfect spring ‘do. As the weather heats up, you might be feeling like you want to try out a shorter hairstyle but you’re not quite ready to commit to a short bob. A lob is the perfect solution! They can be styled in so many ways as well, from pin straight to beachy waves. Try experimenting with different parting as well, to see what is most flattering for you.
The braid crown
Braid crowns are always sure to impress and are not only a super cute hairstyle to rock this spring, but they keep your hair up and out of the way as the temperatures rise. Braid crowns are a great hairstyle to easily add accessories to – try adding in some small flowers for a really on-trend spring look or some small pearls.
